Dancing around the Bride is the first exhibition to explore the legacy of Marcel Duchamp in relation to four of the most important American postwar artists: composer John Cage, choreographer Merce Cunningham, and visual artists Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg. This exhibition assembles paintings, sculptures, drawings, stage sets, and manuscripts and includes live dance and music performances in the galleries, and a soundscape designed by contemporary artist Philippe Parreno.
